Yucatec Maya Healings

Feeling out of balance in your body, spirit, or womb?

ARE YOU...

  • Carrying stress, grief, or old patterns that feel heavy and hard to release?

  • Do you struggle with reproductive health, cycle irregularities, or the emotional weight of life transitions?

It can feel isolating to move through these challenges without the right support.

Herbal baths, aromatic herbs, and plant brushings draw on traditions that modern research supports: certain plants, aromas, and herbs have measurable effects on mood, stress hormone levels, and overall well-being.

Restore balance and harmony in body, mind, spirit, and womb through sacred Yucatec Maya healing rooted in ancient tradition and earth-centered wisdom.

Rooted in the ancestral wisdom of the Yucatec Maya lineage of Miss Beatrice Waight, this deeply sacred healing practice honours the cycles of nature and the innate intelligence of the body. Each 2-hour session is a holistic experience designed to clear energetic blockages, release what no longer serves, and reconnect you with your vital life force through intentions for your evolution.

Intuitively tailored to your unique needs, sessions may include plant brushings, aromatics, spiritual foot baths, limpias, rites of passage, vibrational energy and sound healing, ancestral connection, and Maya abdominal womb massage. This ancient modality offers profound support for reproductive health, emotional release, spiritual cleansing & connection, and overall well-being, guiding you back to wholeness in every layer of your being.

I am deeply honored to walk within this lineage and to carry its teachings with reverence, gratitude, and great care. Each session is offered in respect for the Maya healers and ancestral wisdom that guide this work.

Honoring the Lineage of Miss Beatrice Waight

MISS BEATRICE WAIGHT, YUCATEC MAYA TRADITIONAL HEALER, WAS BORN IN THE CAUL ON JANUARY 18TH, 1948, IN THE VILLAGE OF SANTA FAMILIA, BELIZE. HER FAMILY MIGRATED FROM YUCATAN, MEXICO, DURING THE CASTE WAR IN THE LATE 1800S.

In Yucatec Maya culture, being born in the caul (amniotic sac) is the sign of a healer. As far back as she could remember, Miss Beatrice was connected to the spiritual world and always interested in healing plants. Her Grandmother and her mother were midwives from whom she learned herbal remedies and massage. Her father was the village curandero.

As the mother of nine children, she was a traditional village healer in Santa Familia. She relieved the physical, emotional, and spiritual pain of those who came to her Healing Hut. Miss Beatrice also taught her Yucatec Maya healing ways to students from all over the world. She truly believed earth-centered healing benefitted all people. Miss Beatrice raised her children to believe in themselves and be proud of their Maya heritage. Her radiant smile, outrageous sense of humor, vast wisdom, deep strength, keen intuition, and enormous heart are still cherished. Miss Beatrice passed away on October 3rd, 2010, but her love and teachings are forever alive.

Fire Heart: The Life and Teachings of Traditional Maya Healer of Belize, Miss Beatrice Torres Waight, is a book about Miss B’s life in her own words. The book is transcribed from the direct spoken word of Miss B and includes Yucateca Maya wisdom, recipes, history, ceremonies and plant lore. All proceeds go to support the education of her grandchildren in Belize.

How It Works

Each session is a sacred journey of renewal, guided by the healing wisdom of the Yucatec Maya and the living energy of the plants. We begin with a warm herbal foot bath, prepared with plants grown or mindfully gathered by Elizabeth that very morning. These herbs rest in the sunlight, infused with intentions chosen specifically for you. As your feet soak, you’ll be invited to sip a custom tea blend crafted for your session while we check in and set intentions together. During this time, the plants begin their work—nourishing you from the outside in and the inside out.

After a gentle grounding meditation, you’ll move to the healing table to receive a series of hands-on traditional therapies, which may include:

  • Plant Brushings & Reiki to clear, nourish and realign your energy

  • Aromatic Herbs to awaken the senses and invite the spirit of the plants into the body

  • Hot Stones to relax the body and open energetic pathways

  • Optional Abdominal Womb Massage to support reproductive health  (for those called to receive it)

Throughout the session, you’ll be immersed in sound therapy—the vibrations of quartz crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, drums, rattles, and chimes weave together to harmonize your energy field. You’ll leave feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, and rejuvenated, with the session’s intentions continuing to unfold and support you in the days and weeks ahead. It’s best to allow yourself some quiet space afterward for gentle integration, rest, and reflection as the healing energies continue to settle. Personalized suggestions will be offered to help you integrate and sustain the healing process.
